Day 2 - What school do you go to? What is something that makes your school unique, or that makes the school special to you?
I'm studying in University of the Philippines Los BaƱos, my dream university. Something that makes it unique or special? Well, it offers quality higher education. Some people might disagree with what I said because of the LLCP, but I don't think that this large lecture class policy is a hindrance. Just like what Prof. Yapo said during our last day in our Hum1 class, "Size does not matter, the teacher does." And when you go abroad, they only know University of the Philippines. If ever it's not the case anymore, I'm sorry. My cousins and aunts just told me that several months ago. Peace!
Day 3 - If you live away from home, share your moving day experience. If you commute, do you feel like you are missing out on a true college experience?
Since I'm the unica hija, my parent's won't let me stay in a dorm near the campus so I had to commute. Not only that I spend 50Php everyday, but I also waste two hours of my life staring outside the window. But now that I'm already in my second year in college and I'm becoming tired of commuting everyday, I gave my parents good reasons why they should let me stay in a dorm. One, it's too dangerous for me to go home late at night (because of the projects). Two, I have an organization and I want to participate in every activity. Three, I can't go with my friends because I had to go home when it's already late. I felt like I'm missing everything because I live in Calamba while my friends all live near the campus. It sucks, you know. Four, we could save 1000Php if I stay in a dorm. And yes, they finally allowed me to live with my orgmates in Catalan! XD
The day I moved there was really exhausting. I carried a very heavy bag full of clothes and some stuff my mom told me to bring. Wow. I really wish I have two strong arms. But it was really fun. I got the chance to clean the cabinet, organize my clothes, take a bath whenever I want even if I'm tired or lacking sleep, eat once or twice a day, and go out with my orgmates. I really have fun being independent but at the end of the day I still miss my parents and wonder how's life there without their unica hija. :(
